Delas

2015
Cotes du Ventoux
Rouge

"88" Wine Advocate
"88" Wine Spectator

This Red Blend of 80% Grenache and
20% Syrah is as solid a value as you will ever find from anywhere in France. In fact, Wine Advocate called it "A superb value."

From Wine Advocate: This has always been a superb value in the Delas lineup. The medium-bodied 2015 Cotes du Ventoux is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah that never sees oak. Bold black cherry fruit flavors are complemented by hints of olive, espresso and cracked pepper, finishing dry and savory.

2013 Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine continues to impress year in and year out. This comes from the same producer that made the wildly popular Meyer Cabernet Sauvignon which made the Wine Spectator Top 10 wines in the world in 2017. Its not inexpensive but in the world of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon under $50, at this quality level is considered a value. Mouth-filling layers of cranberry, dried raspberry, lavender, violet and cola are lifted through the elegant finish by lingering sweet oak tannins.

Tenuta La Pergola

2016 Piedmont
Roero Arneis
Kermit Lynch found this producer as he was traveling through Piedmont when he stopped for lunch and was served a carafe of Arneis. He loved the wine so much he asked the restaurant to provide the winery name and phone number. Super refreshing you will understand Kermits enthusiasm once you give this a try. The aromas offer stone fruit and crushed mineral. Flavors of white peach and wild sage. A thirst-quencher for sure!

Herencia Altes

2016 Terra Alta
Garnacha Negra
For generations the ancestors of Nuria Altes have cultivated vines in the vicinity of the village of Batea in Terra Alta. Their most widely planted variety is the indigenous Garnatxa Negra which grows well in both the sandy and clay limestone soils of the region. By mixing old and young vine fruit (40–100 years old), and fermenting in cement, Nuria is able to create an affordable, lively, and elegant version of Garnatxa showcasing the delicate Pinot-side of the variety.
