Description

Yes, we sold this wine late last year for $49 a bottle and we highly endorsed it! At under $30 a bottle this becomes another ridiculous SDWBC deal! Our ongoing quest to bring you the best deals ever continues!

This Cabernet Sauvignon definitely needs decanting or a run through an aerator after opening. It has wonderful flavor but more high tone fruit that needs a little rounding out with air or time in the bottle. It is a beauty that will likely evolve so well over the next few years.

Add this to the list of amazing Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon deals we have presented over the past few months. We told you there would be deals this year, so take advantage. Don't miss it!
Notes from the winery: A seamless, opulent, densely textured wine that is at once extravagant and racy in its precision, the Royal Prince is dark and almost opaque in color. It shows aromas of truffle, black cherry and licorice. The wine fills the palate with an amazing energy, leading to a deeply textured mouthfeel, and culminating with fine grained tannins and an exceptionally long, lifted finish.
From Jeb Dunnuck (93pts): Made by Maayan Koschitzky (of Atelier Philippe Melka), the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve is all varietal brought up in French oak. Its deeper ruby/plum hue is followed by a classic Cabernet Sauvignon nose of cassis and black cherries supported by plenty of sappy herbs, graphite, and obvious minerality. This medium-bodied, lively, elegant Cabernet has ripe, building tannins, a good spine of acidity, and outstanding length. Drink this classic, impeccably made 2021 over the coming 10-12 years, and I wouldn't be surprised to see it evolve longer.
