This is a very small producer out of Lake County. We were a bit skeptical when we were told the closeout price and the wine being 7 years old. We thought for sure it would taste very tired and on its last legs. The exact opposite occurred after we tasted it.

This is definitely a medium bodied Grenache and it retains good acidity and structure. No signs at all of being tired, in fact it took awhile for this wine to open up. So it has plenty of life left.
This Grenache benefits from the estate vineyard’s rich volcanic soils and just the right amount of natural vine stress essential to developing deep, complex flavors. Capturing the eye with a bright, translucent, ruby red color, this 100% varietal Grenache offers bright aromas of cassis, cherry and blackberry married with plush, beautifully balanced berry flavors.
