Lone Madrone
2014 Paso Robles
POINTS WEST
Red Blend
$28 at the winery
One of the favorite wineries to visit when in Paso Robles wine country. The wines are always well made and delicious. The folks in the tasting room are always so pleasant its easy to understand why this is such a popular winery.
This bottling represents the very best value in their entire portfolio.Grown on the steep limestone slopes of Glenrose Vineyard in West Paso Robles, this wine has a strong chalky influence onboth the nose and palate. Augmented with hints of licorice, dark cherry and spring blossoms, the wine exhibits a lovely integration of tannin and acidity.
29% Syrah, 28% Mourvedre, 26% Grenache, 14% Counoise, 3% Cinsault. |

2017 Paso Robles
GOING FOR BROKE
Zinfandel
Last year's bottling was a huge hit in our store and we expect you will like this just as much as they have produced back to back winners!
The nose is filled with ripe blackberries, smoked plum, orange relish, cranberry, blueberry compote, white pepper, and dark chocolate. The palate is round, juicy, and bursting with freshness and concentrated red and dark fruit components. The finish is persistent, layered and vibrant, with a touch of spice. ~Brian's Top Pick~

Chateau Thivin
2017
Brouilly
Reverdon
Beaujolais
93 Wine Advocate
It is no surprise that Chateau Thivin is the benchmark domaine of the Cote de Brouilly; everything about it is exceptional. Built in the fifteenth century on an ancient volcano which juts out steeply into the valley below, Thivin is the oldest estate on Mont Brouilly.
This is Beaujolais at its very best. Lovely aromas of blackberries, cassis, plums and potpourri. Bright and juicy! |

Sean Minor
2017 California
Pinot Noir
We always seem to find something from this producer that offers exceptional value! The Sean Minor Chardonnay already sells like crazy in our store so it will be no surprise at all if this takes off sooner than later.
The wine displays aromas of strawberry, cherry cola and raspberry fruit. On the palate, the Pinot offers bright and approachable flavors of cherry and strawberry combined with subtle layers of spice. The bright acidity combined with sweet oak results in a lingering finish.

True Myth
2016 Paso Robles
Cabernet Sauvignon
Pure Paso Robles, this rich yet smooth Cabernet Sauvignon is loaded with elegant aromas of blackberry, blueberry, pepper and cassis which lead to flavors of dark red fruits with hints of cedar spice, cocoa powder and caramelized oak. These persistent flavors create a long lingering finish. While very accessible now, this wine will continue to evolve nicely for years to come.

Melville
2015 Sta. Rita Hills
Pinot Noir
90 Jeb Dunnuck
From Jeb Dunnuck: The 2015 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills is the largest production cuvée of the estate and it's a year in, year out value. The 2015 is a spice-filled, cherry, and forest floor-scented effort that has medium-bodied depth and richness, the focused style of the vintage, and a good finish. It's showing slightly better than this time last year and should age gracefully going forward.

Cinzia and Alberto Bocelli manage the azienda, and with the help of Andrea Bocelli, welcome visitors from around the world to taste their exceptional wines. A very tasty, versatile blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and Merlot. Bright cherry, cassis, cocoa, and a hint of sage on the smooth finsh.
