Store Policies
By ordering with SAN DIEGO WINE & BEER CO., INC. the customer agrees to have read fully and understood our terms and conditions. The following is a list of our terms and conditions:
Internet Order Processing
Internet orders are subject to credit card verification and are processed in 1 - 3 days, this processing time DOES NOT include shipping days. All orders are subject to availability and limited to stock on hand. We make every effort to fill orders completely and quickly. We ask for your understanding when a product or vintage becomes unavailable and we will gladly recommend a similar wine.
Refund and Exchange Policy
There are no cash, check or credit card refunds for alcohol under any circumstances. California Alcohol and Beverage Laws prohibit these types of refunds.
Futures Orders
FUTURES orders MUST BE A THREE (3) BOTTLE MINIMUM ORDER. All sales are final on Bordeaux futures. Your futures order will ship as soon as it arrives.
FUTURES orders are charged as soon as they are ordered, but we will not charge shipping on FUTURES purchases until the order is shipped.
If you purchase both FUTURES and in-stock items, we will ship the in-stock items of your order immediately.
In-Store Pickup Policy
For free "in-store" pickup orders, you must plan to pick your order up in our store located at 7080 Miramar Rd, Ste 100, San Diego, CA 92121. We will NOT ship your order if you selelct this option. Click HERE for store hours and directions.
Shipping Policy
We arrange, on your behalf and responsibility, shipment with UPS to make the delivery. The weather conditions are critical to wine (extreme high and low temperatures). We are unable to replace bottles that are damaged by the weather. SAN DIEGO WINE & BEER CO., INC assumes no liability for wine damaged due to poor weather during transport; this can include freezing or leaking (safe temps above 45 degrees & below 85 degrees). Be sure of the weather and shipping conditions before placing an order to be shipped.
• We do not ship to other countries
• Ultimate liability for package is between you and the carrier. (UPS)
• You are responsible for any return shipping charges
• We are not responsible to any torn, discolored tissue or damaged labels due to UPS shipping process.
• If you are aware of an extreme hot or cold spell in your area, please notify us (Matt) if you wish to delay shipment until the weather is more favorable. If your area is experiencing extreme weather conditions, SAN DIEGO WINE & BEER CO., INC can briefly hold your order for future shipment.
We ship Ground via UPS:
ALL ORDERS MUST BE RECEIVED AND PROCESSED BY 2pm Pacific Time for fulfillment and shipping of that same day.
Please note that delays by UPS are not our respoinsibility

Please note, a street address is required for all shipments. We DO NOT ship to a PO BOX address, P.O. Boxes, APO addresses, Hospitals, Military Bases, Colleges, Cruise Ships and Hotels.
Our prices include wine shipper packaging. Wine shippers come in 1 bottle, 2 bottle, 3 bottle, 4 bottle, 6 bottle and 12 bottle sizes, we also offer magnum shipper both single and doube bottle.
We offer a "shipping instruction" at checkout if you would like a specific delivery date. We will make every attempt to meet your request.
All orders shipped outside of CA are not subject to CA state sales tax.
All orders picked up at our location (7080 Miramar Rd. Ste. 100, San Diego, CA 92121) are subject to sales tax.

UPS does not pick up shipping orders on Saturday or Sunday so if you order on one of those days, UPS will begin their process for transit on Monday!
Age Restriction
Wines may be sold only to persons at least 21 years of age.
By placing an order, you are warranting to us that you are 21 years of age. Wines may be delivered only to persons at least 21 years of age. Our shippers will require a signature of someone at least 21 years of age at the time of delivery. Positive ID may be required. If the wine is returned to us for failure to provide positive proof of age, the customer is responsible for paying the return shipping charges.
SAN DIEGO WINE & BEER CO., INC requires that each order contain the correct name, billing address, CVC code and zip code for the credit card used. If the information you provide is not an exact match, we will not process your order and accept no liability regarding your order or timeliness of delivery.

Gift Cards
Gift cards are sold on the website, value is determined when entering quantity. The card contains value which may be used to purchase goods with the exception of other cards. The gift card may not be redeemed for cash and the unused value remains on the card. San Diego Wine & Beer Co. is not responsible for the lost, stolen or damaged gift card or any unauthorized use. Unless as required by applicable law, the gift card may not be redeemed for cash and the unsed value remains on the card. For card balances got to: www.mercury-gift.com and enter the entire number listed on the back of your card including the dash and 5 digits following.
PLEASE NOTE: If you would like to apply your gift card to a purchase online, at check out there will be a Gift Card section, enter the 19 digit number BUT DO NOT ENTER the Dash and the 5 numbers following. Gift cards are mailed via U.S. Postal free of charge.
