Pedestal 2010 Merlot by Michel Roland 94 Wine Advocate
Michel Rolland, Pomerol vintner and consultant to many of the world's top wineries, teamed with Washington State wine visionary Allen Shoup to produce this limited release wine. The 2010 Columbia Valley growing season was cooler than preceding years earning it comparisons to 1999, a highly-regarded vintage that produced wines with excellent color, flavor and varietal character. A cool spring delayed flowering and reduced fruit set as temperatures remained moderate throughout the summer; but by working with growers to drop clusters and open up the leaf canopies early in the season, the vines were well positioned to complete ripening when the warm weather arrived and extended later than usual into the season. A bold and expressive wine with intense flavors and aromas of blackberry jam, dried flowers, crème de cassis, licorice and toasted oak. Sweet tannins and a velvety texture persist across the mid-palate to provide a wonderfully balanced and lengthy finish.
Feather 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon by Randy Dunn 94 Wine Advocate
Napa Valley vintner, Randy Dunn, brings his artistry and expertise to Washington State to produce small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Columbia Valley's finest vineyards. His reputation for producing world-class Cabernet spans more than four decades. After making wines at Caymus from 1975-1985, Randy established Dunn Vineyards on Howell Mountain where he continues to craft distinctive wines of high acclaim. Enticing flavors and aromas of blackberry cobbler and roasted rosemary are woven around a core of vibrant fruit. Deeply concentrated, yet soft on the palate with a firm mouth feel that coats the palate. A hint of earthiness and oak spice combine with dark black fruit to add to the wine's appealing texture and long, refined finish.
Sequel 2009 Syrah by John Duval (Grange) 93 Wine Advocate
John Duval, formerly of Australia's iconic Penfolds Grange, chose the Columbia Valley as his "Sequel" for the continuation of his life's work with Syrah.
Opaque and blue-ish purple in color, this is an expressive wine offering vibrant aromas of sweet dark fruits, grilled meats and freshly roasted chestnuts. Dark cherry flavors laced with notes of nutmeg and savory spice are framed by refined tannins and a delicate acidity that lingers on the finish.

Piruette 2010 Red Blend by Philipe Melka & Augstin Huneeus 92 Wine Advocate
Philippe Melka and Agustin Huneeus, Sr. teamed to combine the traditions of old world winemaking, the advancements of new world technology, and small lots from Washington State's finest vineyards to craft this enticing red blend.
The 2010 growing season was cooler than recent preceding vintages, resulting in comparisons to 1999, a vintage remembered for the excellent color, flavor and varietal character of its wines. In 2010, a cool spring delayed flowering and reduced fruit set, then temperatures remained moderate throughout the summer. As a result, we worked with growers to drop grape clusters and open up the canopies early in the season so that when the warm weather finally arrived in late September, the vines were well-positioned to finish off ripening and yield beautifully concentrated fruit.
Deep and inky, the 2010 Pirouette offers a well integrated concentration of flavors and silky tannins. Black cherry, dark chocolate, graphite, sweet plum and black licorice aromas and flavors deliver layers of complexity, while the wine’s lush mouth feel provides a rich mid-palate and pleasant crème brulee finish.

Saggi 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon/Sangiovese Blend by Folonari Family 90 Wine Spectator
Among Tuscany's oldest and most prestigious wine families, Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari teamed with Allen Shoup to produce a wine that showcases Washington state's terroir with plenty of Italian character. Saggi (meaning "wisdom") is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah.
The 2009 vintage was a memorable growing season that produced exceptional wines with deep color, richness and concentration. Spring was a bit cooler and wetter than usual, but the arrival of dry weather in June led to a good fruit set. Temperatures warmed considerably in July and stayed warm into September. These consistent, warm temperatures and lower than average yields caused the grapes to ripen quickly and evenly, sparking one of the earliest and fastest harvests on record.
Rich yet sleek, the 2009 Saggi delivers vibrant aromas and flavors of ripe wild strawberries, black currants and violets accented by notes of earth and spice. This wine is well-balanced, with delicious, mouth-filling acidity and a fine coating of dusty tannins that provide an expressive finish.

Chester-Kidder 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon/ Syrah Blend by the owner of Chateau Ste. Michelle 92 Wine Advocate
Allen Shoup named this wine in honor of his grandfather, Charles Chester, and his grandmother, Maggie Kidder. He has a purpose in mind; a vision really, and that is to make a wine that says, "this is how good Washington wine can be." Allen selected Gilles Nicault, former winemaker for Woodward Canyon, to bring the vision to fruition. An unusually cool spring in 2009 resulted in a slow start to the growing season, but by June the weather warmed considerably and ideal growing conditions persisted through September. A near perfect summer and lower than average yields caused the grapes to ripen quickly and evenly sparking one of the earliest and fastest harvests on record and yielding wine with deep color and exceptional concentration. Black cherry and cocoa aromas compliment vibrant flavors of blackberry, licorice and cassis. Hints of graphite and a subtle earthiness provide layers of complexity. With its firm structure and polished tannins, the velvety texture glides easily across a lengthy finish.
