Wines to Pair with B-B-Q

Spicy sausages- Have to go with a nice fruit driven California Red Zinfandel- Go with the juicy OZV Old Vine Zinfandel 2012 from Lodi  $9.95

• Burgers (beef)- Burgers- Try the Great American Wine Co Red Blend from Rosenblum Cellars! (What better name to celebrate the 4th!) Its a predominantly Zinfandel blend with Petite Sirah to boost the richness! Only $6.99!

• Veggie or turkey burgers- Lets go with a nice thirst quenching Sauvignon Blanc- The Simi 2013 from Sonoma County is a steal  $7.99

• Steak- Sticking with the reliable Cabernet Sauvignon with a steak and the Daou Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 from Paso Robles will fill the bill nicely  $22.95

• Salmon- If you have not tried a nice dry, crisp, chilled rose with Salmon then  don't hesitate to try this delicious offering from Oregon. The Stoller 2013 Rose of Pinot Noir  $15.95

• BBQ Brisket or Ribs- A nice full bodied GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre) will work well with these options and the Zaca Mesa Z Cuvee 2012 would be a fantastic option! $11.95

• Chicken breast- Lets go with the  wonderfully versatile Pinot Noir. I would suggest the incredibly flavorful McIntyre from Santa Lucia Highlands  $19.95

• Corn on the cobb- With a juicy piece of corn an incredibly refreshing Pinot Gris from the Willamette (Rhymes with dammit) Valley in Oregon. Try the Willakenzie 2012 Pinot Gris $15.95

• Shrimp- With Spicy Asian Shrimp there is no better wine than a Riesling with just a touch of sweetness (consult your wine shop expert for sweetness levels). You will barely taste the sweetness after a bite of the spicy shrimp. It is an awesome match. Try the invigorating off dry (Just a hint of sweetness) 2013 Riesling by Trisaetum Vineyards from the Willamette Valley in Oregon  $15.95.

• Hot dogs - Lets go with something smooth and fruity to wash down the dogs. The Bokisch 2012 Grenache from Lodi would be a fantastic choice  $12.95.
