Kaleidos 2021 Osiris Grenache
Paso Robles750 ml
94 Wine Enthusiast
Description
This was an easy unanimous choice to take the final cases of this winery's Grenache after tasting it this past week. The original $50 price tag was right in line with other Grenache or Grenache based wines we have tasted from more high profile Paso Robles producers. At 50% off it makes it one of the best values when it comes to next level quality coming from this region!
Very limited! (Mark is recommending this to everyone who walks in the store so hurry if you want to try a few bottles)
From Wine Enthusiast (94pts, reviewed at $50): Dark plum, violet, lavender and cola aromas show on the nose of this Grenache-based blend, which also includes 4% Petite Sirah and 2% Mourvèdre. The palate is expressive and layered, combining boysenberry, lavender and a pinch of white peppercorn into a seamless display.
From Jeb Dunnuck (93pts, reviewed at $50): The 2021 Osiris checks in as 94% Grenache, 4% Petite Sirah, and 2% Mourvèdre. It has a medium ruby hue to go with a spicy, complex style in its mulled red and black fruits, saddle leather, pepper, and flowery incense-like aromas and flavors. I love its overall balance, it's medium to full-bodied, has ripe tannins, and a great finish.
