What others say
Attracting customers from Downtown to North county, our customers have spoken about our family owned, wine retail store on Miramar Road. The following are actual testimonials published on prominent and respected Internet Websites:
From www.Yelp.com, Randy K from San Diego says: "I''ve been a SDWC customer since ..well.. since Tom owned it and it was on Eastgate Mall. STILL love this place. Staff is well versed in wine and taste almost every bottle in the place. I've had the pleasure of working with Mark for a long time and he is great.!! I'll tell him that I've enjoyed wine X, and he will say well try this or that. They have good descriptions about each wine and their prices are fantastic. MUST TRY if you are in San Diego!"From www.erobertparker.com one of the most popular and respected web sites for wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs:"San Diego Wine Company is tough to beat for prices..." "Matt and Mark give great customer service", "I, too, will echo the superlatives at the San Diego Wine Co..."
From www.Yahoo.com (Travel), Mary Woods from San Diego says: "...every time I come home with a suggestion from one of the (SDWCO) staff, my eyes glaze over in bliss..." Jeff from San Diego says: "One of the best locations in San Diego for buying wines at good values."

From www.Yelp.com, Mary M. from Pasadena says: "Someone once made a bold statement to me: 'I'm not buying any more wine that I haven't tasted first.' Well said, sir. At San Diego Wine Company on Saturdays for $10, you can be that guy. I tasted 10 German wines for $10 and walked out with a case of them for under $250 including the tastings and tax. Staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Stock is well organized and labeled. I wouldn't suggest they change a thing."
From www.Yahoo.com (Travel), Yahoo Contributor: "San Diego Wine Company is the only place I buy wine. I love the wide variety of wines from everywhere and I love the wide variety of prices. The staff there are so helpful and so knowledgeable about wine. They are eager to answer questions and educate. They are also very nice people. I recommend this store to everyone. If you live far from it, it is worth the distance to travel there."

From www.Yelp.com, Shelly G from San Diego says: "... my old roommate told me about this place. she said they were cheaper than T. Joes and had a much better selection. SOLD. this is a great store because it is so specialized, and the workers seem like they care. each wine has a good description..."
From www.Yahoo.com (Travel), Yahoo Contributor: "This is the BEST PLACE to buy wine in San Diego period. I have been buying wine from them for years. Excellent knowledgeable staff. Good explanations on wine, good prices-Thanks"
From www.Yelp.com, Gabriel G from San Diego says: "... Helpful to my such greenhorn knowledge of wine and wine quality ... were the poster boards that the owners put by each variety that had descriptions and ratings of them. Eventually, after roaming around the shop and reading all the boards, completely befuddled by the gamut of selection - I spoke to Matt and picked his brain on reds and and whites that he would recommend. He was extremely helpful. The shop has a very welcoming atmosphere. It invites both the shorts and t-shirt like me, as well as the suit and tie.
I will definitely be coming back here to pick up some great valued wines, and for the Saturday wine tastings. Check their website out, www.sandiegowineco.com...."
From www.Yelp.com, Lucas O. from San Diego says: "... Walking inside, it's bare bones perfection. Some glorious love-child of permanent farmers market and warehouse. And unlike far too many wine stores and wine bars, knowing absolutely nothing is fine and might even be better. These folks know their wine and sincerely want you to know and love the wine too. The walls are covered with prices and descriptions, and any questions will be answered...and then some probably.
If you want the darn good stuff, you'll find it here. You can drop $50+ on a bottle if that's really your bag. Me, I'm more inclined towards volume. Not at the abandonment of quality mind you, but a happy confluence of quality and affordability. Which is why the under $10 bottles stretching on and on warms my heart like only emptying those bottles can match. I love it. I want more of it."
From www.Yelp.com, Steve B. from San Diego says: "This is the best place in SD to buy wine. I have been a loyal customer for years. You can't beat the prices. I like the new location, even though parking isn't always so good. If you find a wine you really like, you should go back and get more because it may not be there for long."
