We see very few wines from Uruguay and the few we do see have not really grabbed our attention. However, this particular wine really stood out in a recent tasting. Loads of flavor with a structure you usually find in a wine at twice the price! This will be a perfect match with grilled steak, peppers or rapini.
This powerful Tannat is elegant with aromas of red fruits such as cherries and strawberries, black plums, tobacco and black chocolate on a spicy background. It is juicy and fresh in the palate, and has a full-body with a lingering finish balanced with a touch of oak. |
