From Wine Advocate: A Malbec from La Consulta, the 2016 Malbec Pizzella Vineyard was partly aged in used oak barrels for 12 months. This is clearly my favorite among all the single-vineyard reds, as it has varietal character and is clean, focused and fresh.

Elegance, finesse and purity are the watchwords here. An expression of a range of seductive red fruits that sit on soft, supple tannins.

Loads of flavor, this is what well-made Pinot Grigio should taste like. This opens with subtle aromas of ripe orchard fruit and white spring flower. The lively palate evokes mature Bartlett pear and tangerine zest alongside fresh acidity.

From Wine Advocate: The 2016 Chronology Red is a blend of 30% Petite Sirah, 27% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Grenache, with the balance of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Mission,  Cabernet Franc, Malbec and  Merlot. Aged in 14% new French and American oak. Deep garnet-purple colored, it has intense scents of cassis, warm plums, black cherries and violets with hints of black pepper.

A tremendous effort!
The wine shows enormous depth and sophistication. Dark fruit and blackberry is followed by light notes of tobacco, toasted nut and scorched earth. I am in awe of its complexity. A red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. ~Mark's Top Pick~

Crisp and vibrant, the wine has NO OAK influence. Fermented and aged in stainless steel maintians the natural, delicious Chardonnay flavors.
