Matt Francke has been tasting, selling and enjoying wine for over 20 years. His expertise and keen wine knowledge is what makes him so successful. Matt is not at all pretentious and altough he references the wine critics scores and comments, he does not rely on others to help him select what wines to sell in his shop. CURRAN Grenache Blanc, Santa Ynez Valley: Kris Curran is the wine maker that put SEA SMOKE on the map. She has crafted a fantastic white that is not to be passed up. This is easily my favorite white of the year to date. For under $20 they just don’t get more interesting and tasty than this. Kris Curran wines were started in 1997. Currently, Kris is producing Syrah, Sangiovese and Grenache Blanc; all of which are locally sourced from premium, selected vineyards in the eastern end of the Santa Ynez Valley. $16.95
