This producer reached out to us first to see if we were interested in their last 56 cases of this 10 year old wine sitting at the winery. As usual we had to taste it first before making a decision. After acquiring the sample they sent, we popped the cork, tasted it, and it took about 2 seconds to get on the phone and secure their remaining inventory.

The 2016 Red Blend comes from a tiny one-acre hillside vineyard on Mt. Veeder and is a true Bordeaux field blend,Cabernet Sauvignon leads the way, joined by Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, all grown, harvested, and co-fermented together for a seamless expression of site and vintage.

This is a deeply flavored, structured red brimming with dark berry and plum fruit, complemented by cedar, tobacco, savory earth, clove, and fine-grained tannins.
