Amancaya
BY CARO
2018 Mendoza
Red
91 Wine Advocate
Rich and smooth with full flavor.
Berry notes fill up the glass.
From Wine Advocate: The 2018 Amancaya, a blend of 70% Malbec and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, aims to combine the fruit and freshness of Malbec with the power and complexity of Cabernet Sauvignon. It was partly matured in oak barrels and keeps a fruit-driven and ripe profile with a soft palate with very fine tannins.

Bishop's Peak
BY TALLEY VINEYARDS
2022 San Luis Obispo County
Pinot Noir
It has been a very long time since we have purchased the 2nd label of Talley Vineyards. This bottling represents a sea change of what we have tasted the last few years.
An absolute bargain for under $20!
The 2022 Bishop's Peak Pinot Noir offers aromas of blackberry, sage, graham, orange marmalade, and pine nut. The flavor profile includes strawberry, saffron, bing cherry, and chicory root. The finish is long and focused.

Abadia de San Campio
BY TERRAS GAUDA
2022 Rias Baixas
Albarino
Hints of tropical citrus, golden apple and notes of pear are perfectly balanced on the palate with well-integrated acidity and a subtle creaminess on the finish. Without a doubt one of the best bang for the buck Albarino's in the market!

2021 South Australia
THE BOXER
Shiraz
Rich and deep, the 2021 Boxer is both elegant and powerful, with beautiful notes of fresh plum, mocha and liquorice lifting out of the glass. A soft plummy mouthfeel, well measured tannins and slightly toasted oak compliment the rich fruit, creating a wine with many layers.

Xavier Vignon
2019 Rhone
Rasteau
91 Wine Advocate
The 2019 Rasteau is a blend dominated by Grenache, but with smaller amounts of Syrah and Mourvedre. Laced with scents of garrigue and green peppercorns, it offers mixed berries on the medium to full-bodied palate, and a bit more assertive tannin than seen in Vignon's other wines. That said, it's by no means unapproachable, and while it may be kept another year or so, it should be consumed over the next 5–7 years.

Chateau La Grave
2021 Cahors
Malbec
We could describe Philippe Bernède’s organically grown, 100% Malbec Cahors as a quintessential house red or an eager crowd-pleaser, but we wouldn’t want to oversimplify its appeal. Vintage after vintage, this Cahors delivers glassfuls of voluminous black fruit and bright aromatics with a pleasantly rugged core. The wine is beautifully made and deliciously balanced.
Imported by Kermit Lynch.

Let's keep it simple. It is unbelievably difficult to find value in Burgundy these days. This is beautifully elegant. It takes a good hour to open up. It's so easy to enjoy!

Barbaresco
91 Wine Enthusiast
A 2014 Barbaresco that is just beginning to hit its stride. Anyone that is a fan of Nebiollo and the wines of Piedmont should not miss this wine! Dried red fruit, white pepper and hints of leather with subtle notes of anise on the harmonious finish.

Peacock Cellars
2021 Arroyo Grande
Pinot Noir
The 2019 version of this wine was one of the best selling Pinot Noirs in our store two years ago. Once again they have crafted a beautifully, fuller style of Pinot Noir that is hard to resist. This has big, incredibly tasty cherry and red berry fruits!

Peacock Cellars
2021 Arroyo Grande
Chardonnay
We love finding small family owned wineries that are off the beaten path. This is the first time we have featured their Chardonnay and it is definitely worth trying. Soft and creamy with just the right amount of acidity. Flavors and fullness of toasty vanilla on the finish.

2021 Barossa Valley
WOODCUTTER'S
Shiraz
91 Wine Advocate
92 Wine Spectator
Lifted red, black and blue fruits of red cherry, raspberry coulis, blueberry conserve and wild blackberry and blackcurrant. There is a spicy edge showing cardamom, star anise and Chinese five spice. Soft caressing tannins and voluptuous mouthfeel from plump Shiraz berries gives this wine a posture that belies its pedigree.

NSO
By DUSTY NABOR
2022 El Pomar District of Paso Robles
PUERTO ELECTRICA BLOCK
Cabernet Sauvignon
A Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon for under $15? WOW!
Notes from the winery:
It boasts loads of chocolate and bright red fruits of cherry and raspberry which is a signature of Paso Robles. Refined, smooth tannins coat the palate while always being driven home with fresh bright acidity. This Cab hits way above its weight class. You can drink this the day you get it or cellar it for years to come. |
